Goldsborough Hall, North Yorkshire, 5th July 2015

I have only visited Goldsborough Hall near Knaresborough for its splendid show of snowdrops, about which I have written here. We popped in for a summer open day.

Below is a view looking down to the quarter-of-a-mile Lime Tree Walk, the trees planted over the previous century by Royalty.

The 17th century Goldsborough Hall is a very beautiful house in my opinion, saved for the nation by its present owners Mark and Clare Oglesby. They run an excellent hotel and wedding venue.
