Galanthus nivalis Viridapice and my friendly robin

Snowdrops with a touch of green on their petals can be pricey. But here's one I made earlier. "Viridapice" is a relatively inexpensive form I introduced to our garden in 2009 with increasingly impressive results as it has clumped up well. It is fairly tall and thus stands proud. The photograph was taken on 19th February 2014. Doesm't the green stand out well.

Whenever I am gardening I hear the tweeting of my pet robin who accompanies me at all times, kindly removing the grubs and worms that in his (or her) eyes disfigure our garden. If I could only train her or him to peck at the weeds.
